PARPPEINPIRTTI
We wish you welcome to the Parppeinvaara hill in
Ilomantsi. The famous rune singer Jaakko Parppei has given
the hill its name. Close to the rune singer's house on Parppeinvaara
you can find the Parppeinpirtti Restaurant. The restaurant
is built in two floors and 160 persons can be seated in the
building. The restaurant is fully lisenced. Our waitresses
play the kantele and sing, if booked in advance. In the pastry
bakery of our restaurant we can arrange an amusing baking
competition for our guests.

Our lunch buffet is available every day from 1 June to 15 August
2006, from noon to 4 p.m. (on other times on request
for groups sized minimum 25 persons).
Adults 17 €/person, children (aged 4 to 12) 8,50 €/person
- the lunch buffet Karelian style includes a large variety
of appetizers (e.g. slads, slightly salted fish, pickled herring
and two kinds of traditional Karelian pastries), Karelian
meat stew and oven baked fish, dessert and coffee

We also provide a Karelian festive buffet on request (minimum
25 persons).
Adults 25 €/person, children (aged 4 to 12) 10 €/person
